Jema Energy wins the Basque Business and Society Foundation's 2023 Business Innovation Award

Jema Energy has been recognised with the Business Innovation 2023 award granted by the Basque Business and Society Foundation at a ceremony that took place yesterday, 4 November, at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao.

The award was collected by the General Manager, José María Del Río, who gave a brief review of the origins of Jema in 1953 with Jesús María Aguirre, the subsequent incorporation into the Irizar Group in 2009 and the main milestones of these 70 years of existence. He also ended his speech by acknowledging the effort and commitment of all the professionals who make up the company, dedicating the award to all of them.

This recognition highlights Jema's commitment to innovation and sustainable development in the energy sector in which it is positioned.

At the same ceremony, the companies JMA Altuna, winner of the Made in Euskadi award, and Saitec, as Best Basque Entrepreneur, also received awards. Finally, the Mexican company Draxton Atxondo (GIS) received the Euskal Makila from the Basque Government's Minister of Industry, Energy Transition and Sustainability, Mikel Jauregi Letemendia.
